The house

I wanted the house to have its own atmosphere that is regulated within the bubble. the idea is that it assimilates earth as much as possible, to make people feel at home the bubble is capable of replicating all of earths weathers. I want to make an imaginary pamphlet for the suburb

Interior Ideas

The hardest part of the interior backgrounds is the fact they are curved. I took advantage of the skew and perspective settings on the photoshop transform tool to help the props settle in. The design of the ouse is a selection of bubbles connected by tubes so all the interiors would have the same shape and layout. These are designs for kitchen dinners and living spaces.

Props

The way I went about designing the interiors was to create the furniture for each space using different styles and different colours so that I could mix and match later. The rooms would be oval so I wanted to create some props that could compliment this, I also made some to contrast so it would be a little more interesting visually. Also I still wanted that retro, vintage feel in the interior spaces as well as the exteriors ones so a lot of inspiration was taken from furniture and interior design from the 1950's and '60's.

City Planet

This is the wide view of the city planet. I kept the buildings on the peripheral of the planet as I like the idea that sections of these planets can rotate like clock work to change the season on the weather or even the time off day.

Shops, skyscrapers and what not

I'm on the city planet. I want to have a close up of this environment. I think the best way to go about this is to create all the buildings individually and then arrange them. I added more details to the buildings by using textures and some of the graphic ad work I had made previously. Also the tubes look good here. By reducing the opacity of their layers they actually look as if they are made of glass.

Planet Park

One of the last of the peripheral background planet. All thats left if it the city and the nasty germ planet. I used ore natural textures than I have for other planets. I focused on the base planet having leafe of floral textures to highlight the fact it is a supposed to be a natural environment. This is in contrast with a lot of the other planets that have metallic textures. However it is still clear that it is a man made object from the rivets and bolt detail.

Fingers crossed last background

Most of the background work I have done of late has been interior stuff. There was one more I wanted to try which would be a exterior, wide shot, of the city planet. Also it would be one I would like to attempt completely digitally. Here are some vectory shop designs.

More ad's

I've been doing a lot of work on the interior background spaces this past week. Hopefully they will be ready fro scanning today or tommorrow. For now here are some more adverts that will appear in the exterior shots on billboards and as poster. They also contain a few props that would appear in the show shuch Nuclear Ovens and Umbrellas designed to protect agains meteor showers. I created a large 'family orintated' company that could produce house hold stuff in the future similar to a company like General Electric today. I called them Anderson's as these sort of companies often like to prortray a family frienly image and one way they do so is by using the founders surname ie. Jergen's or Johnson and Johnson.
